Why? You ask...
Currently, we maintain 5 different versions of bookers. Keeping all legacy versions functional -- with bug fixes, security patches, and basic maintenance -- becomes incredibly challenging, especially when most application users are not using bookers developed prior to 2017. The complexity of maintaining redundant functionality can lead to slower development cycles, potential compatibility issues, and ultimately, a less reliable experience for all users.
By transitioning to a single, unified booker, we will streamline our development efforts, reduce confusion with support tickets, and dedicate additional resources to create a more robust, and feature-rich software experience for all businesses and pet parents alike!

Navigate to Account Settings » Online Bookings » using the "Online Bookings Version" dropdown select "Full Booker".

FAQs
1. Why are we sunsetting legacy bookers?
Currently, Rev Pets its supporting 5 different booker versions - two versions for the business portal (Traditional booking page and Streamline booking page), and three versions for the customer portal (Full Booker, Advance Booker, and Simple Booker). The newest versions, Streamline and Full Booker released in 2017, so users that have not upgraded are missing 7 years worth of features. Furthermore, we have been supporting multiple versions which incurs unnecessary time and resources that should go to new features and bugs.
2. Will there be any downtime associated with this upgrade?
No, there will not be any downtime associated with this upgrade.
3. Will users be able to revert back to an older version of the booker?
No. Whether a user manually upgrades or the upgrade occurs via the mass update on September 30, 2024, they will no longer see the option to select a different booker.
4. What should customers expect October 1st, 2024?
On September 30th, 2024, our Development Team will run a script to upgrade all remaining legacy booker users. This will only affect new bookings, so when a business or pet parent logs in to their app on October 1st, 2024, any bookings made prior to this date will still be reflected in the old booking page. Any bookings created after 11/1/2024 will be in the new booking page.
5. Can I opt out of this upgrade?
No, users will not be able to opt out of this upgrade, we will not longer be supporting legacy versions.
6. Is there a contingency plan if any issues arise from the release?
The database and all applicable logs will be backed up prior to the script running. If any issues should arise, our Development Team will revert back to the prior version to correct the issue. This is a contingency plan in case any unforeseen issues occur, however, we are not anticipating any issues.
