There are a number of different set up details that can be changed according to which country you live in, for example time zone, currency, and date format.
Navigate to Account Settings » My Account » Country Information » Use the Time Zone dropdown to select the appropriate time zone » click Save.
Important Note:
Before getting started with specific configurations for your time settings, it is important to understand the hierarchy of the time settings menu.
- Regular Hours would be considered normal business hours of operation.
- Special Hours override regular hours. A good use for special hours is if you are open for limited hours on holiday. Another example, is if your business is closed for drop off and pick up on a certain day (for example Christmas Day) but you will still have pets in your care before and after a certain day.
- Black out Dates override both special hours and regular hours. A good use for a black out date(s) is if your business is completely closed for all services AND is not caring for pets during the black out date(s) (for example, facility renovation).
How to: Configure Default Check In and Check Out Time Ranges
Default check in and check out times are what populate automatically in the boarding and daycare modules.
Navigate to Account Settings » Time Settings » Regular Hours » configure your default check in and check out range » click Save
Now when you go to create a booking on the backend (i.e. the business side) or a customer goes to create a booking request via the online booker, your default times will populate automatically.
On the backend:
On the online booker:
Please note:
1) Default check in and check out times do not restrict the time picker for staff members nor customers (via the online booker).
2) The regular hours setting for the Appointment Module (Account Settings » Time Settings » Regular Hours » Appointments) impacts two aspects of the application.
- The first is the time range that displays on the appointment calendar, as long as a specialist's (i.e. a staff member that can perform an appointment type service) individual availability is not impacted (i.e. a specialist's availability overrides the appointment regular hours time range).
- The second is the time range that displays on the online booker if you are not using the "Show time block in the Appointment module" functionality (Account Settings » Online Bookings). Please note: we highly recommend using the time block feature to optimize the booking experience on the online booker for your customers. Learn more about appointment time blocks HERE.
How to: Configure Time Windows
Time windows are a tool to limit the selectable time ranges for drop off and/or pick up. Time windows impact the backend (i.e. the business side) as well as the online booker (i.e. the customer side) of the application. The time window functionality is the same whether you are creating a time window for your regular hours or special hours.
Setting time windows for Regular Hours
Navigate to Account Settings » Time Settings » Regular Hours » tick the "allow time windows" box for the module you are configuring time windows for.
Next, configure your time windows per day of the week. You are able to configure multiple time windows per day as well as specify if a particular time window is for drop off, pick up or both drop off and pick up. You can also designate a specific day of the week is unavailable for drop off/pick up.
For example:
Monday - Friday the business' regular time window hours for drop off and pick up are from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Therefore, during that range (7:00am - 7:00pm) a staff member creating a booking on the backend or a customer requesting a booking via the online booker, will only see those time window options display.

On Saturday the business' regular time window hours for drop off only are from 8:00am to 11:00am and for pick up only are from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Therefore, for drop off, only the range of 8:00am - 11:00am will display and for pick up, only the range of 5:30pm - 7:00pm will display if a staff member creating a booking on the backend or a customer requesting a booking via the online booker.

Setting time windows for Special Hours
Friendly reminder, special hours override your regular hour time windows. Navigate to Account Settings » Time Settings » Special Hours
Similarly to configuring time windows for regular hours, you are able to configure multiple time windows per special date(s) as well as specify if a particular time window is for drop off, pick up, or both drop off and pick up.
Example 1: On Christmas Eve (December 24th) the business has special hours for drop off and and pick up from 9:00am to 11:00am. Since the day of week December 24th falls on every year differs, specifying the date will override your regular hours no matter what day of the week December 24th is that particular year.

Example 2: During the winter months (January 2nd through March 31st), the business has limited hours for daycare only from 7:00am to 4:00pm.

Please note:
1) Currently, time window increments are every 15 minutes this cannot be customized.
2) If time windows are enabled, and you are using the system's check in/out functionality, time stamps will default to the most recently elapsed 15 minute time window increment.
3) If your business does not allow drop off and pick up for both the boarding and daycare modules on specific day(s)/date(s), you can save configuration time but using the "Check Blocking" functionality noted below.
How to: Configure Check Blocking
Check blocking is additional functionality within the special hours tab. Check blocking will prevent drop off and pick up for the day(s)/date(s) specified, but will allow bookings to continue over these dates. Check blocking will override configurations made in special hours and applies to both the boarding and daycare modules.
Navigate to Account Settings » Time Settings » Special Hours » scroll down to Check Blocking

How to: Configure Black Out Dates
