How to configure the Stripe Plugin

Overview: What are we talking about?

In countries where Revelation Pets Payments (powered by Stripe) is not available, you can integrate your Stripe payments account with Revelation Pets to utilize Stripe's payment processing and to record those payments with Revelation Pets. 

Stripe has an advantage over our other payment integrations where the customer's credit card details are retained on file. This means that future payments can be taken from the customer without having to type their whole number in again. 

STOP! - This article is only relevant for countries where Revelation Pets Payments (powered by Stripe) is not currently available. If Revelation Pets Payments is available for your country, please follow the instructions outlined in this knowledge base article, How to Sign Up for Revelation Pets Payments. 

Let's get started

Go to Account Settings page and select Integrations from the Top hand side menu

 Then click on the Link to your Stripe account button

After clicking on the button a window will display the Stripe page where you allow Revelation Pets and Stripe to talk to each other

Once you click on "Connect to my stripe account" you will be taken back to Revelation Pets.

That's the difficult part, done! - Next, let's see how you can use Stripe.

Accepting payments

When you click on "Mark Total Balance as Paid" the stripe payment pop up modal will appear:

You can use this to enter your customer's credit card details and accept the payment straight away.

If you want to take just a deposit, then you will notice that Stripe is now an option on the payment options area of the page:

Allow your customers to pay for their bookings 

You will have noticed that there are checkboxes on the integrations page (Account Settings >> Integrations) to allow a button to appear on the booking confirmation email and/or the online booker. These buttons will allow your customers to pay for their bookings by themselves! Once payment has been accepted it will be displayed in the payment area on the booking.
